Although lower in cost, it is built to achieve the same perfect 5-star safety rating as the longer-ranged version, which has the lowest probability of injury of any car ever tested by the U.S. government. In addition, we are also introducing Model 3 Standard Range Plus. For 6% more money, you get 9% more range, more power, and an upgraded interior. Lastly, we've lowered the base price of all Model 3, Model S and Model X trims, and updated our Autopilot packages to be even more compelling. In order to streamline manufacturing, we will be reducing our car paint ordering options from seven to five colors on Thursday.

Starting Friday, Metallic Silver and Obsidian Black Metallic will only be offered as off-menu, limited edition colors at $2,000. They currently cost $1,500. Model 3 orders placed before Friday in Metallic Silver or Obsidian Black Metallic will be produced on an expedited basis, so may be available as soon as two to four weeks. As a reminder, you can easily buy a Tesla online without visiting a store or doing a test drive, and have it delivered directly to your home or work. We are highly confident that you will feel great about your purchase, which is why you can always return it within two days for a full refund.
